    Re: BT I-Plate

costs nearly as much as this http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop...ProductID=3306
    but less effective.

For myself 14Mbps sync (old face plate)
    with I-plate - ~15Mbps
    with XTE-2005 - ~19.5Mbps

It is convenient for sure, unscrew, fit, re-screw, but the XTE-2005 is far better.
    Its very easy to re-wire.

You only need wires 2 and 5 (6 in total) the rest you do not need, I used tweezers to pull the wires out and then this tool to insert into the new face plate

If I had to do it again, would only take me a few mins max.

Show me a pic before you go ahead and buy it though, just to make sure you can use it, its also assuming your router will plug into that face plate too.
