    Re: xbox 360 networking

Well for wireless, there is only one option. Unfortunately you have to buy Microsofts own xbox 360 wirless adaptor.

It's expensive, i know. There are many 2nd hand ones cheaper on Ebay mind.
As for wired its a simple case of attaching a ethernet cord from you're 360 to your router.

Or if you want it near your pc you can wire the console to your PC/laptop via Ethernet and then have your PC pick up wireless and bridge the connection

    Re: xbox 360 networking

Can you just not connect the 360 to the router, make it a static IP and then whack the IP address in the DMZ zone.

This stops all the fiddling with port mappings and is generally a LOT easier to setup as it's a 5 minute jobby as long as you know the router menu's

This is why a good router should be purchased so that uPnP is supported and the right ports are mapped and released when needed.

    Re: xbox 360 networking

If you've only got one socket then change the router, you'll probably be told your ISP doesn't support a router other than the one they supply but if it works what difference does it make to them?
