Which just shows that security is not a 'fit and forget' technical solution, and that you shouldn't rely on a single solutuion - defence in depth is important.

Hmm. Firewalls that keep phoning home to check for licensing? Then fails when there is a glitch in the licensing server?
Never ever going to recommend anyone ever gets one of those!

Although SonicWall had this glitch I think there were very pro-active in letting their partners and other end users know about it.
Was looking into getting a SonicWall product to test (assuming they have NFR units) - but never got round to it. Might put that off for another wee while :-)
