    SKY vs O2

I have been with SKY BB Max 16mb for 3 years now and have never had an issue.
Always connecting at around the 12-13mb realtime mark.

Anyway, i thought i would give O2 a bash as it was free for the first 3 months, and just under a tenner a month after that for 20mb down and 1.3mb up. Couple this with the £70 cashback from Quidco i went for it.

GOD!!!! i am so gald i did.

Fast speeds, 17mb 24/7 and the full 1.3mb up.
    Cheaper aswell.

Sorry SKY....as good as you were, O2 is far far better.

    Look here: http://broadband.o2.co.uk/home/index.jsp
Remember Quidco if you switch http://www.quidco.com/o2-home-broadband/

    Re: SKY vs O2

I dumped sky after 3 days and went to O2.

    O2 are fantastic!

how are you getting Pro for £10 a month? I am an O2 mobile customer and "only" get Premium for £10 a month

    *edit*

They have upgraded premium from 16Mb to 20mb! I am going to restart my router!

I'd just be happy to have any decent LLU service available to me

'Cos i'm never going with TalkTalk...

And i'm guessing O2/Be*'s support is a little bit better than skys?

    Re: SKY vs O2

I would gladly go with anything which didn't involve BT looking after the line..

I started off around 4mbit, then dropped down to just under 3, then again down to just over 2, then 1.4, and now I'm lucky if it works at all..

BT aren't interested in really fixing the fault, and I can't take the time off work to baby-sit them for weeks at a time..

    *grumble* You lucky buggers! *grumble*

Good to see everyone else getting decent speeds on O2.
Get a DG834 router + custom firmware for SNR adjustment and faster speeds.

You might as well flash it, it is literally a 5 minute job... (I'm guessing it will be exactly the same process as the v1)

Its a far better router than the O2 supplied one.
