    Daisy chaining a Netgear DG834v3 and 02's Thomson TG585v7

I've noticed the other thread, which gave me ideas on extending the wireless range of my network using 2 modem routers and number of connectivity ports
    http://forums.hexus.net/networking-b...orthwhile.html

By using the Netgear as the modem, restricting the DNS servers to 192.168.0.63 (as the o2 box starts at 192.168.0.64) and disabling the DNS server on the o2 box, it kinda worked.
Phsyically port 1 of both unit were linked with an ethernet patch cable, and my computer plugged into port 2, and another into port 3.

What it did was assign 192.168.0.2 to my computer but nothing to computer 2.
Ipconfig on computer 2 shows that the unit is assigned 192.168.0.65 (with "lan" filled in the Connection-specific DNS suffix)

By switching the ports around for both computers the same happens, only computer 1 (mine) works.
    Any ideas?

Ah got it, forgot to ipconfig /release then /renew it....

Problem now is I cannot access the o2 box to configure the wireless; my computer is physically connected to port 3 of it, and the usual 192.168.1.254 does not connect, nor is the device shown in My Network Places..

P.S. I've tried each and every other port, including 1
