is it possible to connect Netgear DG834N on Virgin cable internet connection?

Hi all, i;m new here and got a question already. i've read somewhere online that it's possible to set Netgear DG834N DSL router somehow to work with Virgin cable internet connection. If it's true can anyone give me any tips how could i do that? The router i got from Virgin is only wireless G and my the speed on wireless drops down dramatically...

    thanks for any help.

COuld you not plug them together with eathernet RJ45 cables.

eathernet 1 on virgin to input eathernet/line on DG834N, should fit:S

Tried that but it doesn't find the settings of Virgin internet. tried to enter them manually, changed Mac address, but nothing changed. DG834N Requires dsl settings which on cable connection are non-existant . I was thinking if it would be possible somehow to bridge two different routers (Netgear DG834N and Netgear WGR614) ?
