    Ad Hoc and through router.

Hi, is it possible to connect a server (NAS basically) im building directly to my main rig via ethernet for max speed and also to my router for wireless broadcast around the house, whilst also allowing the router attatched computers to access the files on my main rig and for my main rig to be able to access the files on the router attatched computers.

    If that makes sense :/

Or maybe its just better to get a cheap gigabit switch instead?

    Cheers, Neil.

Not quite sure what topology you are propsing, or what you hope to achieve, but for simplicity, get a Gigabit switch (you can get a 4 port for under £30) and you will get better speeds and reliability than you will through wireless.
