    Mac and windows interconnected?

    Say I have a Lan, and on the network you have 7 window pc's and 3 macs, and i have one server that is running windows server 2003 or 08, is it possible to have macs netoworked to windows?

    That's a bit of a vague request. What are you actually hoping to do? Use AD for sign on? File sharing? etc etc....

    Yes you have to enable SMB on the macs. should be in networking somewhere.

    The server is file server, but few other servers will be included later which is database and smtp, so i was just wondering if it was possible to have macs and windows on the same network accessing microsoft server os, the lan will also be connected to aother lan in a different site via vpn.

    Hope that is adequate info?

    Protocols like SMTP exist so that computers can communicate, regardless of operating system. So in a word, yes, provided you set them up correctly they won't even care what OS the server is running, only that it returns valid data to requests.
