    Goodbye BT, hello O2 :D

As the title suggests, I'm somewhat chuffed cos I've gotten round to dumping BT as my ISP in favour of O2 and it's switching over some time tomorrow. Hello LLU high speed service for less than half the price!

    That is all.

Wise choice I have been with O2 for 4 months now and all I can say is constant high speeds, low pings and no throttling or capping of any sort

Just changed to O2 too!! Got the 5 quid off for being a mobile customer and doing the quidco cashback offer!

Was wondering if anyone knew if the BT line profile gets reset auto or do i have to ask them. Is there a BT rep on Hexus?

It will happen as part of the changeover - if it doesn't you will have to go through your new ISP as you no longer have a contract with BT.

Re: Goodbye BT, hello O2 :D

My switch from Nildram to O2 goes through on thursday.

Had alot of problems with them recently, shockingly bad speeds and my connection has been as steady as Heather Mills Leg with a bad case of wood worm.

So far i am impressed with all the texts etc keeping me up to date with the order

    Really? £70? Hmmm.

My response to that is covered mostly by words explicitly banned in this thread

Re: Goodbye BT, hello O2 :D

^^ Mine tracked when I did it within a few days.. Took the full two months to get my fifty notes tho.

Been with 02 now since dumping Virgin back in Feb. All I can say is wow to the connection. Few cockups recently when I moved house. Took longer than it should of done to get it activated at the new address due to problems with assigning "ports" to people moving house. Took three phonecalls and two passed deadlines, but got there in the end.

I've just ordered a phone line in my new place, so it will be the end of the week (or perhaps next week) until I can order BB

Re: Goodbye BT, hello O2 :D

I have just moved into my new home and the last owners used Virgin cable so was not sure if i could get O2 in my area, so have signed up with BT for 18month so
i did not have to pay for the new BT phone line to be installed but am having problems trying to get O2 BB as it does not recognise my phone number? So i used my post code and it then said not supported in your area

I have moved from a small village into the main town and still cant get the LLU in my area of west Swindon gutted! Was so looking forward to getting O2 Pro for the same price i was paying for the O2 access.

Any way of finding out when my exchange will support LLU from O2?
Best information i have got is from this link from sam knows

The Only LLU ISP's that i can use

AOL LLU = Crap as only 10gb cap
Bulldog LLU = not sure as block file shairing ports so i have heared.
TalkTalk (CPW) LLU = Very slow and crap tech support.
Orange LLU (Formerly Wanadoo) = Not sure what Orange are like, and only show to offer an 8MB line?
