All it took was a phone call, and a promise to keep the service for 18 months - no extra charges The 18 months thing is ok - I've had faultless service and when it's been down, they've either told me weeks in advance, or repaired it within the day. Go Manx Telecom (Billing dept is rubbish though).

it was at 8mb before, and getting around 6mb/s on that speedtest thingy Nominally 16 now, and the router reports it as 16. Pretty happy tbh as they said it wouldn't be turned on until Friday!
