Do you mean Chat1F30c524.verizon net ? because that would be a cloak key and its not possible to get a IP from it

Indeed, most IRC networks will have at least an option for the users to hide their real IP for security reasons, and trying to resolve them in most cases will just give you the IP of the IRC server involved. Otherwise /dns IP is the only IRC bound command to look up that info.
