    O2 Home Broadband pack delivery

This is a question aimed at anyone who has bought broadband from O2.

I recently signed up to O2 broadband, made the order yesterday at work, and have been receiving various text message updates from them since regarding dull things such as direct debits being set up.

I just got one which says "Your O2 Home Broadband pack is on its way, so watch out for it"

Does this mean they've given the stuff they intend to deliver to their courier (whoever that might be, anyone know?) and that it'll show up some point this evening (read on their website it can be anytime up until 9pm). Basically I'm at work and going out for a meal this evening so is no-one to receive a package at the house now or later.

Is that text message the final notice of delivery? Or could my stuff be showing up on monday, which is equally inconvenient but that's beside the point.

Just means they've sent it out to you. I don't think it will arrive tonight to be honest.

Was a day or two for me from getting the text to kit arriving.

They emailed me within half an hour of the text with more useful information, courier (for me at least) is DHL and they provided a tracking number.

I've been really happy with 02 so far, good price and nice service but so that more people don't join I'm going to tell them it's rubbish

i always thought that o2 used dpd for deliveries? they did when i had them last year, and they were spot on. another thing that they do is they will txt you to let you know that your debit is due and on what date and how much for, as well as the obligitory email - nice touch.

Same for me and I think it was DPD who delivered (while ago now though!).
