8pm..some indian bloke turned it off at virgin, said i owed them £70 before they turned it back on !
I owe them the difference it was from 20-50mb, which is like 17quid.
£30 installation fee? All he did was plug in the new modem (which looks nice) and make a phone call, left me with the dlink N router to set up as i have ports to forward etc and he didnt seem clued up AT all.
£20 connection fee ? Wait a minute..ive been with virgin on 20mb for nearly a year, and hes just charged me £30 to set it up ?
I'm assuming he still has a phone though
so what difference would that make to his internet?
my "10mbps" connection was down to 0.8mbps this evening....

50mb is available here and is tempting but think ill hold off until prices come down (new package deal etc)
I'll be upgrading to 50mb come sept 1st & the price drop but as has been mentioned the installation & connection fees are ridiculous. I can self install everything myself thank very much and the connection fee is a rip off.

VM are known for the terrible traffic shaping policy, and restricting download limits.
Soon even surfing Hexus will be hell
