    Re: netgear on o2

Provided O2 allow it, It should be fairly easy. I managed to set mine up to work on Be without any problems.

If it's an old sky unit you will need to flash the firmware.

Exactly what he said, but ALMOST all ADSL routers can be used on the majority of broadband providers. Just some routers that are factory set, ie sky need to be flashed.

    Re: netgear on o2

first you need to no ip address of router

if you havent changed anything then go onto the router using 192.168.0.1 username:admin password: password
you will then have to select adsl settings i think put in your username and password for o2 it should then connect to o2 fine, you will have to contact o2 for this.

They will probably tell you they cant support if you change your modem blah blah blah

    Regards
    Lee

    Re: netgear on o2

Also, one of the other questions to ask is: Are you on ADSL2+ or ADSL? (ie: are you a LLU customer), as the setup is very different for both.

Great, I used the DGteam firmware on my one too. I really like these netgear units.
