    Netgear DG834 N/PN/GT/XXL/XYZ v?

Okay, I made the last two up, but could anyone please explain the differences between the various DG834? It sounds like some of them have several revisions (v5 etc.), some provide extra range PN but I am not sure what the differences for the others are.

I am going with O2 as soon as I get a new BT line installed, but it sounds like their provided routers do not do them justice. I like Draytek, but they are on the expensive side, while the DG834 seems tried and tested with Be/O2 and can be found cheaper on Ebay. I just need to know which one to get/avoid.

Do any of the Netgear offer either (or both) content filtering and bandwidth throttling? That's what I like about Draytek, they are quite handy in my last flat to keep mass downloaders from hogging the entire line. My new flatmates do not seem to be heavy users but it's good to have as a precaution.

why not get the DG834GT?? it has the broadcomm chip inside which is the one to look out for.

So does the PN and N apparently (the later is meant to have a newer version of the Broadcom chipset, although I am not sure if it is version dependant).

I'd avoid the DG834 N it's buggy and over heats. Netgear do nothing about it.

The G and the GT seem to be far better designed.
