sky brodband router

What router does sky now provide you with for their broadband ???


My parents have switched back to sky for tv and want to switch internet and phone too. Now I have been happy with VM who let you use your own router. With sky I have to use the one provided right?


Do sky offer a wireless N router?? As I will need this to get any signal in my room.

I joined sky BB last July (08) and was supplied with a rebranded Netgear DG934. Not sure if it is wireless N or not.

Sky used to supply the Netgear DG834GT / DG934G, they started to use the Sagem F@ST 2504 not long ago

The sky guy phoned back and confirmed it was only a g router!!! So no sky broadband

On another topic:

The consulting rooms my dad works in are getting internet installed. What is the max number of users the Belkin N Wireless Router F5D8236uk4 can accommodate?? Is it a max of 4??

edit: 2 pc's will be connected directly to the router, 1 wireless laptop, and 3 pc's connected via wireless. Would that belkin router support all of them?

Had a look at the specs for that router and can't see any limit to the number of devices that can be connected!! I'm sure there is a limit but there does not seem to be any info on it.

Does no body know??? I did try and call belkin last night but after 3 min waiting gave up.

The router is a Belkin N Wireless Router F5D8236uk4, just need to know how many people can use the connection at anyone time??? or is the there no max number?
