    website question (hopefully easy!)

Right, I've been updating my website and its looking and working a bit nicer than before.

What I'm trying to figure out is this: I have a javascript running that fades images in and out (the index page has it twice but everywhere else it's just the header), when clicking on a new page all the images are suddenly loaded at once on top of everything then they disappear and display one at a time as they should. I've heard from some people using certain browsers they appear over the whole page and don't go away at all - a failing of the browser to read the script I think. Is any way to get them to not load all at once, or rather just one at a time?
If this isn't an ideal way of doing things I may have to use a different script/method, in which case are any recommended?

Working for me using Firefox 3 on Windows 2K over a mobile broadband connection. Just tested it using Opera - that works too. (Nice site BTW!)
