    Print sharing issue

I have a Kodak ESP-3 printer connected via USB to a computer downstairs. This is set up to be shared across the network (consisting of my laptop, desktop pc and the computer it is connected to). All the computers are running Windows Vista 32bit Home Premium, but my desktop will not connect to the printer. It is wirelessly connected directly to the same router as the PC with the printer, but everytime I enter its location (\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\kodak) it sais the printer cannot be found.

However on my laptop which is wirelessly connected to a different router which is connected to the first router with Ethernet which is connected to the PC with the printer, I entered (\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\kodak) and it found it at once and installed all the drivers and works fine.

I have tried running the desktop pc without virus protection, as admin, through windows explorer (where you can even see the printer, but still not connect), and cant think what is stopping it??

    Re: Print sharing issue

Can you access any other network resources on the printer host from the desktop? ie shares etc.
Can you ping it at all? if not, is it possible to get the laptop to connect to the same AP/router as the desktop is connected to so one or the other can be ruled out

    Re: Print sharing issue

    Sorry its taken this long,
Have the router with the laptop turned off, so it is just the one router with the two pc's (one with printer), and still having issues. Both PCs can both ping, and access shared files from each other, so I am not rely sure??
