Router rejects them, saying they arent the correct firmware
You sure you don't have the 604+?

From bottom of router: "Model No. DI 604"......i'll try the + firmware though.
found the answer....looked in FAQ
Q)Why do I get an error message Invalid Upgrade File when upgrading my firmware from version 1.6x?
A) If your D-Link router has firmware version 1.6x, you have a European version and will not work with firmware listed at this site. Please contact D-Link International for a office near you.
D-Link Support is *dire*, I've found more info out from expansys' forums than I ever did from D-Link CS
