Anyone in EH4 area having issues with poor speeds and timeouts on Virgin Media Service. Been two days now and their helpdesk has been a right giggle. They even got me to do netstat -a to see how many established connections I had. When I told them there were 8 they said that was too many and was what was making my connection slow. I counted to 10 and explained politely that this is not the case!

There is nothing on the VM status page to explain the issue although the helpdesk supervisor eventually decided that there was a problem in my area that had been reported and it would be fixed in a day or so. Meanwhile I have a connection that is worse than dial up!
