Can I use my Linksys 802.11g ADSL wireless Router with Virgin?
Hi,
Can I use my Linksys 802.11g ADSL wireless Router with Virgin? If so, does anyone have any instructions for setting it up (for Virgin)? It comes with instructions for setting up on BT then if not BT its very vague.
Thanks,
Kwakagent

When you say Virgin, is it Virgin cable or Virgin ADSL? If it's ADSL then yep, it'll work fine. If it's cable then you can't use it as a router but you could use it as a switch and/or wireless access point

Hi,
Its a cable modem, and I just want to use it wireless if possible.
Has anyone instructions for set-up?
Thanks for all your help,

If the Router has an inbuilt ADSL modem like I think it has then this is not going to work with the virgin cable service.
Whats the model of the router?

If you want a solid router that just works..
get the Linksys WRT54GL and flash it with Tomato firmware. Mine didn't crash once in two years
