simultaneous proxy and direction connection setting

I am using a proxy server to connect internet to get around some blocked sites in my country.

I find that the proxy connection has slow connectivity to some sites comparing to direction connection.

I can manually switch the proxy / direction connection using a Firefox plugin like foxyproxy. However, it is very disturbing to constantly switch around.

Because I do a lot research on the internet, I don't want to set up a list of sites particularly to use proxy connection (Foxyproxy allows us to set up rules to do that). To come up with that list is impossible.

Is there a solution to configure my internet connection to simultaneously use multiple proxies plus the direction connection (non-proxy) at the same to yield the best connectivity performance?

You could create a proxy.pac to be read by your browser, this can be scripted to do all sorts of stuff like. If you cannot serve it from a web server use file:// here is a nice site with some examples.

Re: simultaneous proxy and direction connection setting

I think foxyproxy already does what you want, how do you intend to tell your computer which sites to use a proxy for if you don't set up a list?

Unless you mean use a proxy AND use a direct connection for the site you are trying to get to at the same time.. well.. that's not possible.

You could always rent a vpn or something similar and surf through that...
