    Internet options when Non-LLU?

    Hi all!

    I am after a good TV/Phone/Internet package...

I've been looking at Sky as I can't get Virgin Cable in the area.

My local exchange (2.7km away) is Non-LLU so am I right in thinking any ISP I go with is going to have the same quality of connection? Is it likely to be awful?

Also, I download quite a lot so I was wondering whether Sky Unlimited is actually unlimited or not?

    Thanks for the help!

    Re: Internet options when Non-LLU?

If your exchange isn't LLU enabled then you won't be able to get Sky Unlimited (yes it is unlimited). The best they'd be able to offer is Sky Connect which should be avoided at all costs - check the SkyUser forums to see how bad it is.

I'd recommend you have a look on SamKnows to see what else is available.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

In theory, yes, in practice, no.

Non-LLU just means youre using BT until you get to your ISP, so this part is where it should be the same quality ie youll get the same sync speed on your router regardless.

Once it gets to your ISPs network, and then onto the rest of the internet, its down to how fast/capable the ISPs network is.

Slow crappy network = poor quality internet access.

Might be worth looking for a Griffin reseller. While they use some traffic management it seems to be to the benefit of most.

I've never heard of Griffin, would I be able to get them if my exchange isn't LLU?
