Hi. I've just signed to Sky broadband and, as you may know, I have to use their Sagem router due to their terms and conditions. This isn't a bad router and has an average wireless range but it's not good enough for the size of my house.
I have a Linksys WAG320N and a WAG54GS and would like to use them to extend the range of my wireless network.
I also have a Sony TV which is internet enabled and has a NIC but it is in another part of the building than the Sky router and so can't be connected.
My question is:-
Can I use one or both of the Linksys routers to act as a wireless range extender/access point for the Sky router? This way I can put one next to the TV and connect it whilst also extending the wireless signal into that part of the house?
I've looked at some custom router firmware to achieve this but the devices seem to be unsupported/incompatible.
Any help or advice gratefully accepted.
Phil.
