    Wireless Bridge/Repeater

I just returned from my parents apartment/holiday home and if luck would have it there is a free wireless network around the complex, (which they didn't know they had) but it is has very very week signal. I could only get my iPhone to join when outside on the terrace. (didn't take my lappy this trip)

Anyway I would like to bridge into this network with a high gain antenna and repeat it around the apartment. What would you guys recommend?

I believe that it is illegal to use some else's wifi even if it is unsecured.

Indeed, but this is a free network supplied to the complex of apartments in Spain..........it just very very weak. I need to grab it, amplify it, and repeat it, that way i can VPN into my server back home and watch iplayer etc
