    Draytek Vigor 2710n

    Anyone have the Draytek Vigor 2710n?

    I'm in the market for a good reliable router and this one seems to fit the bill, anyone any experience with it?

    Does it have any kind of traffic shaping abilities? And does the USB Printer functionality work well?

    Cheers,
    //Leg

    Re: Draytek Vigor 2710n

    For a reliability I would probably go for a router with the Broadcom chipset which the Draytek doesn't have. Have a look here http://adsl24.co.uk/support/adsl2plus/

    Not exactly the whole story, tbh. Considering that price isn't a factor in that article, I'm not sure I would get a DG834N over a Draytek, for example.

    Can't fault draytek for this build quality, interface or warranty replacements.

    Only once had to deal with a 2710n and it was just the same as the 2820 that I usually deal with, just a wee bit cut down, but not in anything you would normally use. Well worth the money in every department.

    I would get one myself it I wasn't stuck with my stupid Sky Netgear DG934 boxen.

    Re: Draytek Vigor 2710n

    Well actually I've got a Draytek 2820 and it doesn't sync as at high a speed as the standard Sky router (since they've updated the exchange) but everything else about it is excellent.

    Re: Draytek Vigor 2710n

    Get a Draytek 2820, then if the built-in modem isn't good enough (you have may long reach problems?) you can also plug a longreach modem into the wan port (like one of the speedtouches in bridge mode).

    Try the latest 3.3.4.1 firmware. Beware - take a backup of the old firmware and settings first. It can corrupt your settings according to the readme.
