Hi - stumped with this. My daughter is making the most of her free gifts from sony after the PSN debacle. Burnout Paradise was offered as part of the PSN+ free for 30 days - in the last few days she has been hosting games in the Freeburn Online mode - as soon as she starts, all other wireless devices are starved of bandwidth, while she can happily play away with maybe 8 or 9 other connected players.
I have my pc, couple of iphones, an ipad, the wii, the ps3 and a few mac laptops - I have never experienced this complete starvation of bandwidth before, despite using many several devices simultaneously. Also bandwidth from the dsl is fair with 8mb down and 448kb up.
Can I assume that the problem will only occur when my daughter is hosting a game? Is this a common problem? Is it just bad netcode from burnout paradise? And finally, when she goes offline - I need to reboot the router to get anything back online - including the ps3. Weird?
Any thoughts or tips appreciated.
