    Different router for BT Infinity

    Hi all

I've had enough of my BT Home Hub disconnecting all the time, or having wireless problems, so I want to change router.

Has anyone does this, reading around it sounds like it just needs to be a router with a WWAN port? Anyone have any knowledge of this? Would any cable router work?

I was looking at the Belkin Play Max (http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPa...duct_Id=510658) which has WWAN in the spec.

    Thanks for any help!

I'm pretty much asking the same question, I know I need a cable router, but which?
I currently have a Buffalo WHR-G300N V2 which is OK.. but the wireless cuts out after a few days and refuses to work again without rebooting.

I'm looking for something more stable.
    Any recommendations?
    Budget under £50 if possible.

I know it's not the most elegant of solutions, but if it's just wireless problems that you're experiencing, possibly disabling the wireless on your primary router and buying a dedicated Wireless Access Point might be an option?
I've just bought a TP-Link TL-WA901ND Wireless N Access Point (£33 @ Amazon) as I was fed up with the poor range and instability of that provided by the VM SuperHub. It's fairly early days yet, but so far, it has been *miles* better than that of any router I'd tried previously. This is coming from someone who's got a Draytek 2820VN sitting about gathering dust because the wireless on that wasn't up to scratch for my purposes either... :-(

I was just looking at something like that on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-TL-W...cp_computers_2

I have in the past used the trusty £20 netgear DG834 as an adsl router only and added a draytek for wireless.. it seems this might be the way to go (again).

I'll see if I can find some comparisons on these.

    Thanks.
