Using Virgin 50mb package, I believe it is the only one that does not have a fair useage policy, lovely and fast but not cheap.

Even though I have just moved to BT Infinity, I would still recommend BE, their service has been faultless and truly unlimited. The only reason we moved was because our line speed was too low and there was nothing that could be done about it.

    Re: Best gaming isp

I am with BT and could not reccomend it. At all. Recently this week, the broadband has just been going down. It's awful. When we do have it, speeds are pretty awful. My friend who lives round the corner hosted a Minecraft LAN party; MC obviously doesn't have LAN, so we all went on line over his BT broadband. It could not cope. Just went kaput. I rarely get 5MB+ down and 1MB up speeds, and we pay for 'up to 20MB'.

TL;DR - Avoid BT (or at least BT non-infinity)

Wouldn't be so quick to recommend O2. The old packages that I'm on and presumably you are too if you've been with them for a few years are great. No capping and no traffic shaping.

However, the new packages they sell these days are capped and shaped and may not be half as good as they used to be.

Yes, ur right. Im on one of the old packages. But the customer service from o2 is also very good.

For someone who is not worried about the cash I guess it might be a good choice, I'd definitly pick it over the likes of BT or SKY.
But yes, capping is the worst thing they have done to their service.

Virgin is ok if you bundle in TV & Phone but the new modems are crud ! Stay away from the Super hub, it locks up & disco's a lot...Grrrr

Looking forward to see what Infinity brings to the table with prices ?

Virgin have been best from my experiences, im sure if you speak to them they will offer you an exclusive deal as an existing customer, if not tell them you plan on leaving
