Currently on virgin old contract paying way too much, can ring them and get price down but open to all ISPs recommended.

We've just signed up to Virgin Media 50Mb and have more bandwidth than you can shake a stick at (5 computing students sharing) and very stable pings. They might be willing to do you a deal since you're an existing customer?
hm...well i didnt have any trouble before i changed over to a new package, in fact only the night before i changed over was it running perfectly, then i change over, all the same equipment and all of a sudden my ping is all over the place and mainly after 6ish, i gave it a month before i had enough, moved to BE and all my problems went away....so they must of done something.
Very true i tested the line with speedtest which gave the results to prove my point to the chaps at O2, they only then agreed my line was being throttled, although they used a different word! either way much happier with my current provider, never gone down and solid as a rock![]()
The BE techs will help you tune your line the way that's best for you. You can ring them 24/7 for assistance.

I have recently moved to Sky Unlimited from M(b)adasafish. Half the price and twice the speed. No throttling and rock solid. I asked to go on a gaming profile which lowered the ping at the expense of a very small amount of download speed. I was worried about what it would be like on Sky due to many horror storied but it is the best move I have made. Only thing is I hate using their router.
