i've been trying to fix this the past few days. i have a win7 network. i did have all my drives shared and working, so both pc's and my media streamers could access any drive and read/write files

after moving HDDs about, i've found that some drives are shared and working, but others aren't. i've checked the settings between drives that are working and those that aren't, but can't see what the problem is. i'm wondering if it's registry related as i didn't unshare the drives before removing them, but i did enable shares on the drives that aren't working. i want to share the full drive (neither is a boot drive) and enable read/write on everything

the drives with problems show up under networking, but i just can't access them from other devices, but those devices can access the other drives fine

does anyone have any ideas?
