    ISP for 128K ISDN

Ok Lads looking for a isp that will let me run a isdn Bonded line 128k that don`t cost to much. just for the odd times that i need it not to worried about contention. Had a look at firefly but they are looking for 30.00 a month. This option is only until the BT ExtendedReach Trial is complete and they offer me 512 B/B which my local engineer say they could do now if it was not for company politics any help please.

    128k isdn = expensive.

    I'd wait for ADSL

Sat has ping problems not bandwidth problems. Once the data starts streaming boy does it stream, but you could wait anywhere from 20 seconds to 20 mins for it to start streaming (depending on how the wibblemerchant is feeling, and how many virgin chickens youve sacrificed with a samurai sword). Only really useful for downloading large files, certainly not a substitute for broadband IMHO.

Yeh i have heard that Sat isnt exactly a 'when you want it' solution as it can take ages to get going. Can stop just as quick as well.

You also have to hope it doesnt cloud over (jk)

Stay with 56k for now as your gonna be spending a lot of money on something which isnt a great deal better. Also you may have to get a 6/12 month contract so that when BB does roll round u will still b paying for another service.

Until i read the T&Cs £30/month for bonded ISDN sounded pretty damn cheap to me, 125hr/month and 2hour cut offs is a different story though. Oh, and ISDN bandwidth isn't contested, you've either got a 64/128kbit connection or you haven't. Unfortunately if you convert to a digital line for ISDN then the costs to convert that line back to an analogue one to use with ADSL are usually not cheap! If you think ADSL is coming soon then i'd wait for that, but then i'd never really want to rely on BT keeping time.
