Nice!
I don't know what to do with the 37/7 mb as it is let alone double

OMFG! That's a nice surprise! I can't wait to start bragging about this speed increase! Although I have to agree with Barry as to what exactly I'm going to do with all this extra speed. Most downloads seem to be limited to around 1Mb/s so there's no benefit to be had there.

Is it me or does that press release say that they're doubling speeds for new customers only?
Or that you have to 'sign' a new contract:Originally Posted by BT

Also - will it actually make a difference? I'm typically getting nowhere near line speed on most downloads and speed tests and there's definite congestion and / or throttling going on, on my line, despite signing up for the unlimited option...

I'm already on a contract, how do I get a new one? Do I have to pay off the existing one first?
?!!?
End of the year at the earliest for me. Nominally getting the ADSL line upgraded from 8Mb to 20Mb in May/June so that helps a little.
"Current BT Infinity customers will be able to switch to the faster products by starting a new contract, at no extra cost."
Missed that bit myself. Given what I just said about the lack of perceived benefits, I don't know if I'll sign up. However, I'm quite happy with service so an extra contract isn't something that bothers me... Maybe...!

ZEN are increasing my upload speed from 'up to 2Mb/s' (I get 1.6) to 'up to 10' on Monday. Be interesting to see what I do get.

Already sitting on 37/7, not sure it's worth it myself tbh

that's the final straw...
this camels back is broken.. I will order that via Zen tonight .. so very very fast and if I use my Draytek 2820n and switch it to PPPOe it should work a treat.
