    downloaded wrong firmware for my router model

    hello i have an inexq router, one day i decided to upgrade the firmware thing. I downloaded the wrong one for my model and now I cannot use the internet. Is there a way to fix this?????

    Download the correct file and flash it again perhaps.

    Problem is if you have to start the flashing from the router... i know my d link one is flashed by clicking on a link when i connect to 192.168 etc

    If you've flashed the firmware with the wrong information then you've probably knackered the router..

    Does it have a serial port in the back ?
    If so, depending on make / model, you may be able to save it if you dont have webadmin.
    Its not simple, and may involve getting 'dirty' with the command line, but it may work,

    yup, depends on the router.. if it's one of those cheap dabs/ebuyer ones though, it's deaded..
