    What do I do? Help!

    About 3 months ago, I asked Central Point Broadband to give me their 2mb service. I rang up and they said that my local exchange didnt have the technology to recieve 2mb and that a 1mb was the maximum. So I Asked for the 1mb service anyway because they give great value (£25p/m). So Anyway It took 2 weeks to cancel my current account with another isp and then I rang up to confirm my order. I asked this time when I would be able to upgrade my 1mb line to a 2mb line. They said they couldnt tell at that time.


    Ok.

    So I wait about 15 days for them to activate my line. Today is this day and something has gone array. I am Connected at 2mbit.

    Now, Do I ring up 1st thing monday and ask whats happened? Or do I wait until my statement comes thru to see what they are charging me?
    I dont understand why at 1st they said I was gonna have to wait to get a 2mb line, then the second time I ring, they say they have no idea when I will be able to upgrade. Then when Im switched on, I have a service they said I couldnt get.

    Well if I were you, I'd ring up and tell them, because you wanted a 2 MB line anyway, so you're not going to get it back down to 1 MB. But if you do ring up, make sure you ask them why they told you they didn't do a 2 MB service !

    Bit Ot Ajbrun but why is your 2600+ running at 1.91Ghz? Heat problems?

    Id leave it till the first payment. You might find out you are only getting charged for 1Mb. If not then you wanted 2Mb anyway. Just make sure u can afford the 2Mb service. Mine is £37.99 for the All-Time 2Mb.

    Ajbrun I noticed your sig the other day too. My 2600+ runs at 2080.
