    Unhappy Port forwarding Not working

    Hi

I have an Ebuyer 4 port adsl / modem, everythings fine apart
from when I try to port forward one of my pc's to run a game server.

I go to virtual server, input the port number in (20100) in public and the same in private, tick the udp port box, input ip which is 10.0.0.4 then save via flash update and whammo nowt, zilch is getting through.

    Any idea's

Did you totally reboot the modem, most routers dont need rebooting to activate a port, but the less quality ones normally ned a reboot, and sometimes it doesn't always work. Well mine does any way

I have a fairly similar router, I think - is yours made by Origo? if it is have you got the latest firmware?

I had a few problems with the virtual server wotsit and concluded that the port forwarding on cheap routers like mine is basically rubbish. The only way I can get anything at all to work is to put my computer in the DMZ, and even then I can't run my own server, as the game always thinks my IP is 10.0.0.4. (That said, a friend of mine has another similar router and can run a server provided he's in the DMZ).

    Unhappy

    Thanx guys

Hmm tried tcp as well, saved and re-booted to flash about 10x lol
Yeb it's an Origo asr 8100, I'll try DMZ and see if that gets me anywhere.
If not I might toy around with my old linksys bfr41 router and see if I can get that working in tandem with it, prolly won't work but might be worth a try. lol

Forget to mention yeb the firmware's bang up to date
