    well....was hard work, but was done.

    For the record, for you guys to NOT stumble where me and the NTL guy stumbled....

    the OLD sign up page WAS http://start.html

    it is NOW http://start.ntl which they aint told any of the engineers on the roads about

    BUT as DNS is not working very well at all.......

    use

    172.16.30.35

    When you first log on, the Network Properties on your connection, under the Support tab shows as a number sstarting with a 10. and after you've signed on, and rebooted the box and PC< then it'll show your new IP.

    TiG...the router is sorted

    We are FLYING

    Ahh thats not so bad. Would be unbelievable if they had to do it with everyone in the country, would take them years to complete

    if you want a 1.5 mb connection, then they DO have to visit.

    Have just checked my NIC and it shows as a 100 link now..the old one showed as a 10.

    You'd have THOUGHT a 10 would have been FINE for a 1.5 link but I'm pleased with my new set top box anyway

    all slower connections are still OK on the previous box. 600 goes to 750 for free for example on same box

    2nd august 2004 for most residential customers, a few will have to wait till september.
    150k bronze -> 300k
    600k silver -> 750k
    1M gold -> 1.5M

    for those that get your broadband through your digital stb, if you have the 1M gold service, ntl will swap your old black pace box with a shiny new silver samsung one, because the old pace boxes can't cope.
