Wifi is absolutely pap on ours as well. My brothers PC can't squeeze more than 2Mb/s, if he's lucky, he can get 5Mb/s and the router is all of 10 metres away using the 'big' version of this as his adaptor.

I had a lot of issues with my superhub, but I changed a setting where instead of auto selecting a channel, I picked on and it fixed it.
It used to drop out all the time and also had a poor signal. Once I done the tweak, it made it a lot better. I also found placing the hub high up made a difference in the signal strength.

A liitle bit OT, but I downloaded the Android app Wi-Fi Manager to check out the local wifi usage. It is a very responsive app for showing wifi info - compared to Windows. Bizarre how many locals are on channel 11.
Tool was very useful - but it is a shame that I could not improve things by picking a channel, as no other network on channel 1.
inSSIDer is good for a laptop to check whats about.
Any recommendations for a good quality wireless router to work with the superhub in modem mode?
i have a netgear wndr3700 and wndr4500 both work very well.
the 4500 has just taken over the main roll while the 3700 is basically a 5 port hub and wireless extender.
I don't have a problem with Wifi on our Super Hub, can get a connection anywhere in our house. I can't comment much on the speeds but I have seen it do 20mb when we can do 50mb. But speed isn't a issue for me over Wifi personally, if am going to do some downloading, it's always through my cable connection.
I do have problems with it dropping the connection to my PC through, but I put this down to my extensive usage of uTorrent.
Service has been total crap since Friday, none stop DNS issues. Tomorrow they going to get a complaint about it and a demand for some refund for lost of service.
South of the UK really does have crap internet compared to up North, never had so much trouble before I moved down here. :l
i avoid vm DNS and use googles 8.8.8.8 as its not let me down yet.
just a note on the wireless, supposedly the new firmware has made a massive improvement to it, i know a couple guys on the beta and they say its now very good indeed.
I got a Superhub put in recently, and it was great for a few weeks. Now, it seems that every day I get slow reactions on the phone downstairs, so come upstairs to do a speed test, and find it's at about 2mbps or something. Rebooting the router usually puts it back up to 60-ish (got 68 the other day!), but it's grinding my gears. I knew about the wireless issue, and connectivity hasn't been a problem, but it's the line speed itself that's dropping out. Also, if I test on Speedtest.net I get 60+, but the Uswitch test only gets 17, any ideas why?
Where will we get these drivers from.
The hardware makers or virgin media ?

Netgear make the current Superhub and normal hub, any firmware updates are automatically pushed out by VM, there is no user option to defer or manually update firmware.
