Have you check out RS components or Farnell Electronics?

Flat? Hm... problem is, you can't technically make Category 5 Enhanced ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A unshielded twisted pair cable and make it flat. Note the "unshielded twisted pair" part there.

Reels are usually used for structural work (i.e. in buildings), and nobody wiring up a building is going to pay several times the price for non-compliant cable whose data rate falls through the floor after a couple of metres.

Re: Where can I buy a black, flat, 100 or 300 metre reel of cat5e?

Maplin do a 20m reel* cable for £15. That appears to be the longest stretch of flat cable it's possible to buy - presumably for the reasons outlined by 'hex above

*EDIT: my bad, misread the text. They do a 20m pre-made cable, not a reel of cable.

In addition to Hexy above, the 'flat' cable is stranded and not of the core type (or none of the ones I've seen). This means its a nightmare to terminate it with normal RJ45 plugs - the cable is thinner than 'normal' CAT5 stranded.
