    Virgin media Billing problems

    Hi guys,

I renewed my contract with virgin media last month. Originally I agreed on paying around £43.40 for XL Tivo, XL 60mb, and medium phone. All was well.

A week later I called up and queried adding a second V+ box, which they said would bring my bill to £49.90 - a price I agreed.

However, 10 phone calls and 2 e-mails later and my bill is still saying £53.95 month, not a massive difference then the agreed price, but the principle is i agreed to pay one thing for my contract and now they are charging me something else.

I was also eligible for 3 months free Spotify, which I called up about asking how I register it today, only to be told it hadnt been added onto my account - and adding it now would start my contract again from now, 1 month in.

How do i get through to them, as I said, I have called them _10_ times about the above issues and I still have got no resolution. Can anyone suggest something?

complaints on the website, or phone up and speak to customer relations stating that you were missold the package

Is the customer relations team the same as customer support? I tried the customer support last night and after 45mins of assurances & clarification with her manager, as well as confirming a £4-5 to rectify my bill would be added...my bill still sits at £54!

nah, relations is where you go to cancel the account, but they tend to have a bit more savvy about the system than some other depts, it wont show up in your bill till next billing date afaik tho. I would have to access your account to check bud, and i cant do that without DPA clearance, its not like checking a MAC address, so needs to be done on phone.

A polite but firm email to the CEO's office brought me a response same day. My complaint was handed over to a senior complaints manager who called me the next day. She had every call I made detailed, along with who I spoke to and fixed everything on the spot. I was also given £10 for my troubles, which was a token gesture to help sooth me as well.

I was also assured those that had fobbed me off before would be spoken to (without me prompting her she said that) and that they were very very sorry for the problems they had caused.

All up and running again within 24 hours of my complaint!

No problems, I know what it is like dealing with the customer service department as I had issues with them for 18 months (they had oversubscribed the amount of modems to the router).
