Android remote Apps

for the life of me i cannot figure this out,
ive used a range of apps and not of them can connect to the host,
im setting up manually,
with the Ip.
turned off all firewalls / av
anyone know what i could be doing wrong,
also simple remote control apps wont connect either
btw im using a thomson wireless router

Have a look in the router config and see if there's an option for wireless isloation - turn it off if it is turned on.
