    Router and WinMX setup...

    Hello,

I have a Ntl Cable 1Mb connection running through a NetGear RP114 router.

In the setting i want to make a primary connection (better than secondary) but it wont let me.

I get this message when trying to make a primary connection,

Anyone ever used this program before, i have no idea what to do ?

    Cheers

you need to forward those ports from the router to your PC.
if you log onto your routers set up page, you should have a port forwarding option.

find out the ip of the machine you are using. It may be easier to give yourself a static IP (one that doesn't change).

Then in box 1 put start port 6699, end port 6699, forward it to your static IP.
in box 2 put start port 6257, end port 6257, forward it to your static IP.
    Save settings and exit

Why did he need to open two ports? I have it running on just one?
