    Incorrect home page

A couple of days ago I had few weird happenings on the PC ie it just typed what it wanted without me even touching the keyboard and other such oddities.
What I found now is that if I open my browser, Firefox, instead of going to my set homepage of google.co.uk I get a site called goggle.co.uk and hence offers for ski goggles!
Plus I still have an AVG window (AVG Secure Search) present on the toolbar even though AVG has been uninstalled and I've rebooted.
I've no weird extensions present, so any ideas guys?

    Re: Incorrect home page

Sounds like an adware virus infection to me - get a new AV on it, download malwarebytes, and do lots of full scans. The AVG thing may be a left over - some programs don't uninstall all their components when you uninstall the main app. You may be able to remove it separately through whatever "add and remove programs" is called nowaday

Either that or someone's messing with your head

Could be an infection, grab the bitdefender bootable rescue cd for free and give it a bash, also a handy uninstaller is revo uninstaller.

Yes you have some Maleware redirecting your browser, so you need something to detect and clear it for you. I recommend malwarebytes, which you can download. You may need to reset your homepage afterwards.
