Ad-Hoc mode... security needed ?

Hi,

having a bit of trouble connecting 2 pc's together in adhoc mode and was wondering if any security is needed as adhoc only supports 2 pc's right ?

also i think the problem is one is on SP1 the other is SP2 ... anyone get around this ?

No idea but SP2 might be messing with driver/program based connectivity if its insecure (as wireless generally is by default).
