You shouldnt need a new router.
I just upgraded the firmware on the bebox router, and worked fine.
For other routers, it should just be a config setting, no?

Re: New Router for BeThere(have 20 days to find one)

How do i set this up on m router?

I AM A SINGLE STATIC CUSTOMER WHO HAS JUST BEEN MIGRATED TO THE NEW NETWORK. I HAVE A 3RD PARTY MODEM THAT I WANT TO USE IN STANDARD (ROUTED) MODE, WHAT DO I DO?
Please ensure that the following configuration options are enabled on your modem, if you're unsure as to how to enable any of the configuration options below or if your device supports them please refer to your operating instructions.
Configure the PVC settings on the router that match what is required by the BE service, this is VPI: 0 and VCI: 102 or 0:102 for short. If you're not sure how to do this please refer to your operating instructions.
The router will need to be able to support RFC 1483/2684.
No username or password is required for BE's service. The encapsulation (multiplexing) should be set to 'LLC'.
Please ensure DHCP is enabled, this is for the WAN-side (the bit facing the internet) IP address allocation.
Please ensure that it's configured to accept DNS addressing via DHCP Option 6, this will allow your DNS servers to be configured automatically by the BE network.
Please ensure you enable NAT (Network Address Translation) on your device, this will ensure that all your devices can connect to the internet at the same time.
Remember you may need to setup your own firewall, gaming and application settings on your device.
Once set up you should be ready to go!
Please note that once you configure your device to work with the new network the old settings will permanently be removed 5 days later.

Log in to your router with the admin details and look for the settings, should be fairly obvious, if mnot check the manual: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/fil...4gt_manual.pdf

Those settings should be the same as the ones you're currently using.

Ah actually the change is just one number from VCI 101 to 102, and double check you're set to obtain dhcp dynamically (this probably won't change). Just go to the ADSL settings option and change VCI to 102. Check basic settings for the get internet address to: Get Dynamically From ISP

If you are still looking to upgrade the Asus N56 or N66 are amazing routers. I am currently running the N56 and can do nothing but recommend it. Great bit of kit the usb ports are brilliant turns the router into a nas box with USB HDD.

Do they play well with Be? The broadband line is a bit odd, and doesn't work with most chipsets other than broadcom based units.

Set it to "get dynamically from ISP". (it's the DHCP for the modem to get an IP address from the ISP, not your local DHCP, though that's probably also best set to auto as well)

edit sorry it was Domain Name Server (DNS) Address that was set to a specific DNS server.

i changed that to auto and did not work.

    on Internet IP Address

i have currently selected and use Use Static IP Address Which has some manual settings on it including my static ip address. is that the one u want me to change?
