Hi,At the moment i have got my main computer conected to the internet via a Netgear DG834G Wireless ADSL Router.and my 2nd computer use a SHuttle PN15 wireless module to recieve the internet conection from the Netgear DG834G.

Both computers share the internet conection perfectly, but i woud like to be able to share files and folders between the 2 computers,i have tryed to do so via the network wizardon both computers, which boyh run windows XP, but with no success, and i would also lik to share the printer conected to the main computer .can someone help please. perhaps point me in the right direction,i ve tryed every way but to no avail.i keep getting the following message:-

\\homegoodwood is not accessible .you might not be able to use this network resource .contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network path was not found.

Homegoodwood is the name of the main computer i am trying to conect to,can anyone help or advise me where i am going wrong ??[?]

make sure you have the IPX/SPX protocols installed on both the machines to enable directory sharing,. these are not necessaily installed as default.

Sounds like it could be due to a firewall issue, try disabling Windows XP in built firewall under connection properties IIRC.

Open the network adapter properties and you'll see things like TCP/IP, NetBEUI, Client for Windows Networking etc.

You can install an additional network transport protocol such as IPX/SPX that will enable you to transfer files between your computers. To install IPX/SPX, from the Connection Properties dialog box, select Install, then select Protocol, Add and then NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol.
