need internet and new line installed best option

Hi i need a new line \ reconnection and a 12 month contract for broadband, not worried about the phone, although will take it for a better deal.

I need unlimited data or at least a high usage with unlimited through the night (can do the downloads then) also only asdl as no fibre here yet.

So do you have any recommendations or are there any deals that i might have missed.

    Thanks

I am sure you can turn the modem-only mode on the superhubs on and use your own router? Correct me if I am wrong. I have a superhub sort of modem-router from Virgin and I turned the modem only mode on.

I'm looking to upgrade my connection too. Sky is the cheapest option as I don't actually have a phone line yet, it works out at ~15GBP per month for a 12 month contract with unlimited data if you pay the line rental upfront.

My parents have just left Virgin too. They had just the basic 10Mb/s cable & phone. The data rates were consistently lower than that though, usually only about 2Mb/s, & with only moderate phone usage, they were being charged around £40 / month for the service. Anyway my parents are now with BT ADSL, and paying about £20 / month for a much faster connection. My Dad gave Virgin the opportunity to match the BT offer, but they refused, and the Virgin customer service rep was actually quite rude about it. So Virgin lost another customer. It's a shame they don't put as much effort into keeping their existing customers happy, as they do trying to attract new ones. But then, I think that's true of a lot of businesses...

+1, if they're available in your area then I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Would recommend sky Fiber Optic if you can get it in your area. Only costing us £20 a month. Super solid connection and the new Sky Hub has great wireless coverage. Also claim they never slow you down even at peak times. But i don't entirely believe that
