    Stream MP3s....

    I am atempting to set up a stream on my PC!

    I have a artical in frount of me that tells me how to do this... So all I ask of you is to click this link and tell me what hapens! I am using this... http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_features.html If the link below dont work could someone try to help me figure out what I am doing wrong? I wish to be able to accsess my music any where! So I hope I can get this to work!

    I just had some one try... they couldnt connect! Any ideas?

    When I click the link on my PC it starts to download 17 gigs of MP3s.... But others cant connect!

    this one works on my home network! but I want it to work out side of my house...... http://192.168.1.100:9000/

    you sure you've configured all required ports on your firewall?

    personally - I use Netjuke www.netjuke.org for streaming my mp3's - unless I've got the wrong end of the stick.

    You dont need the Squeezebox to use the software, well atleast thats what this mag says....

    I wish I knew what ports it uses.... The only firewall thats on is the routers,

    And you don't need the Squeezebox, but it seems a bit pointless without it

    I use software called 'streamsicle', i think it will suit your needs

    It will let you stream over your home network and/or over the internet, and the listeners can choose what they want to hear - ie its not just a straight playlist like with winamp and shoutcast
