Looking for a good ADSL WIRED router or/and modem

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give any recommendations for a WIRED ONLY (No wifi) ADSL router.

Im currently looking at Netgear DG834UK but any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    -EDIT-

If anyone also knows of some good adsl modems ONLY (No routing or firewall) I would appreciate those as well.

To be honest I cant really give a reason which would make any sort of sense, But due to the way my network is set up it would just be a waste of features, space and cost.

I was having a problem with my connection a year ago and it turned out cables needed replacing on the E side of the BT green cabinet. I bought a Technicolor TG582n (wifi disabled) during the investigation process just to rule out my Netgear DG834 v4 as the primary cause. I didn't notice any difference in speed between the two models when they were wired to the rest of the equipment. It certainly makes sense to make a purchasing decision based on what features you would use in line with cost. Though, the TG582n, which has wifi, was cheaper than the DG834. The Technicolor model is now my default modem and my Netgear has been packed away in its original box.

I have A TP-Link TL-WDR4300 with OpenWRT installed. It is the best router I have ever had. I have never had to restart this router. I think you can get a wired version.
