    Question about router log entries

I have noticed over the last few days that when I log into Outlook I get **TCP FIN Scan** in the log from these address, and there all from inbound, so coming into me.

Any idea what is going on?

Also noticed a Vecna Scan that was inbound to me.

Now if it was outbound then that would be my pc scanning out? But if it is scanning inbound then its outside scanning in? Any reason why it woudl do this when I log into outlook?

Re: Question about router log entries

Ignore everything. This is background Internet traffic, combined with an over-sensitive logging system. Disable logging on your router. Live a happier, less stressful life.

Aled: seriously, these things are part and parcel of being on the internet. Unless you've done something silly like put your machine in the DMZ then your router will block these scan attempts. If you have something serving content on port 80 (ie a webserver) then check the logs on it, otherwise I'd disregard pretty much all of these scan logs.

No computer is in the DMZ, just thought something may have been up due to when the logs appeared. Thanks guys!
